Winter Brekky


When you walk the dogs through the fog of a chilly winter morning you want a warm breakfast!




This is what Yin cooked for breakfast - savoury Chinese rice porridge with dried beancurd and peanuts and other goodies topped with fried croutonny Chinese 'doughnut' and sprinkled with a few drops of sesame, soy and shreds of spring onion.
Also a pan fried 'radish cake' - Chinese radish (Japanese daikon) mixed with dried shrimp and spring onions (and other goodies).
The stylish leaves are the last to fall from my vase of autumn branches, just decoration, not part of the meal.
