Hi Suzanna, I am enjoying the glimpses of your summer even as I gloat over the rain gauge here. Maybe I seem obsessed with the rain, but the hot, dry times are coming soon enough - not that they aren't beautiful too but it's been a long, long drought here and it's not ended yet.
i looked at these photos of rain on screen and then thought about your words...liked both, but as i went on with my day, the word glyphs kept rising up...i'd like to create some glyphs too, a kind of mark for certain things in my world here that belongs only to them.......... thanks, E, you always give me a good thought......
I live in Ballarat, an old goldfields town, in the central west of Victoria, but southerly in relation to the world. I love Chinese architecture, the post-goldfields towns and countryside of central Victoria, and I love the practice and the art of history. This year I'm beginning a research project on Ballarat in the 1870s.

What a good idea...I look forward to seeing how it comes out. I envy you the rain...it's our dry season... looking at your photos makes me happy...
