Moss is so tiny, but grows huge as you peer in on it. You lose your sense of where you are - the hugeness of sunflowers has that strangeness too. Is that what makes you feel weird?
I live in Ballarat, an old goldfields town, in the central west of Victoria, but southerly in relation to the world. I love Chinese architecture, the post-goldfields towns and countryside of central Victoria, and I love the practice and the art of history. This year I'm beginning a research project on Ballarat in the 1870s.

The soft mossy carpets are so appealing...I love how the little clusters seem to be walking away into fresh territory...
I love how moss looks and feels. But funnily enough, they also kind of gross me out. It's a weird feeling.

Enchanting photos of moss, they look so soft and springy, and inviting don't they! Love Vanessa xxx
